Have fun getting in shape!


As Summer winds into her last few weeks there is still time to start getting in shape fast and take advantage of the warmer weather. Burning more calories and sweating off those extra pounds is easier in the warmer evening temperatures! If you're like me you might prefer getting out early before the sun comes up and starting the day with an invigorating, quick paced walk!

Starting your day with exercise seems to give you an energy boost that lasts well after noon! Following up with a healthy breakfast powers you up for a productive day!

Why not take advantage of these last few weeks of Summer and invite some friends over for an evening of healthy treats and plenty of outdoor fun. Or, save on the clean-up and meet them at a local park. Toss the Frisbee. Play tennis. Walk around the park - several times if you can. Or bring your bikes or skates.

There is still plenty of time to play nine holes of golf after work. Many public courses have a special rate after 5:30 in the evening. Make your fitness quest fun! Enjoy the journey - and a much healthier lifestyle!

Make some time for you and your family and loved ones. Getting in shape can be a fun adventure. Write down some time in your planner - every day - for healthy pursuits. And make sure you keep your food choices healthy too!
