Natural and Healthy ways to lose weight


Just getting started is important to any goal. Taking action. Moving in the direction of your goal. Losing weight and reshaping your body are both realistic goals. Just get started. Take an early morning walk - by yourself or with someone encouraging.

Get outside at lunch - with one of your favorite people - and walk off some calories. Play some tennis after work. Or chase the kids around the block. Ride your bikes or get on that TreadClimber. Little steps - leading in the direction of your goal - will get you there sooner than just wishing.

There are so many natural and healthy ways to lose weight fast. Probably the quickest way to lose weight is combining a healthy, reduced calorie diet with plenty of exercise. Exercise helps you burn calories for hours after you stop! Eating healthy gives your body the fuel to build muscles and get rid of belly fat.

If you are just getting started here a few hopefully helpful ideas:

* Always wear appropriate safety gear. If YOU bike, always wear a bike helmet. Wear the appropriate shoes for each sport. Wear sunscreen and keep plenty of water around.
* Warm-up before you exercise. That could be a moderate activity such as walking at your normal pace, while emphasizing your arm movements.
* Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. You can break this into shorter periods of 10 or 15 minutes 2 or 3 times during the day.
* Follow the 10 percent rule. Never increase your walking or running distance or amount of weight lifted more than 10 percent a week.
* Vary your routine - try not to do the exact same routine two days in a row. Walk, swim, play tennis or lift weights. This works different muscles and keeps exercise more interesting!
* When working out with exercise equipment, read instructions carefully and, if needed, ask someone qualified to help you. Check treadmills or other exercise equipment to be sure they are in good working order. If You are new to weight training, make sure you get proper information before you begin.
* Have fun - enjoy your healthy pursuits with those you love - or friends who will encourage you. Enjoy eating healthy with family and friends. Play your favorite sports with others.
